Answer: Freemasonry is believed to have been started from the guilds of stonemasons who built castles and cathedrals in the middle ages. In the year 1717, speculative Freemasonry was created in London, England and from there spread throughout the world.
Freemasonry is dedicated to the Brotherhood of Man under the Fatherhood of God. It's purpose is to make good men better, to build character and moral values in its members.

are deeply religious in nature, yet is not a
religion nor is it a substitute for religion.
Freemasonry has no plan for salvation.
It is not a social club but rather a course for moral instruction. Its
structure is built on the everlasting foundation of that God given law,
the brotherhood of man.

Who put character above wealth;
Who do not hesitate to take chances;
Who will not lose their individuality in a crowd;
Who will be honest;
Who will make no compromise with wrong;
Whose

Who do not believe that shrewdness, cunning, and hardheadedness, are the best qualities for winning success;

Question: How do I become a Mason?
Answer:
The basic criteria for membership in the State of Kentucky is:
A belief in God
Believe in the Fatherhood of God and the Brotherhood of man.
Male and at least 21 years of age.
Be a resident of Kentucky.
Be recommended by two members of the Lodge.
Receive a unanimous ballot for membership.
Finally YOU must ask to join Freemasonry. No member will ask you it must be of your own free will and accord.
