Question:      What is Freemasonry?

Answer:         Freemasonry is believed to have been started from the guilds of stonemasons who built castles and cathedrals in the middle ages.  In the year 1717, speculative Freemasonry was created in London, England and from there spread throughout the world. 

 

Freemasonry is dedicated to the Brotherhood of Man under the Fatherhood of God.  It's purpose is to make good men better, to build character and moral values in its members.  

 

Question:    What does a Mason believe?

Answer:       Past Master Bob Carter puts it best "Freemasonry's teachings are deeply religious in nature,  yet is not a religion nor is it a substitute for religion.  Freemasonry has no plan for salvation.  It is not a social club but rather a course for moral instruction.  Its structure is built on the everlasting foundation of that God given law, the brotherhood of man.
